Body Stress Release
Tracy qualified as a Body Stress Release practitioner in 1994 and has been working at Ingledale since 2007. Tracy is passionate about spreading awareness of Body Stress Release and, as well as being past Chair of the Body Stress Release Association (UK), she also teaches at the Body Stress Academy Europe based in Dorchester. Tracy is also a member of the BCMA.
Body Stress Release is a complementary health technique that offers a gentle effective way to help your body to release stored tension (or body stress) from the muscles and works with your body’s natural desire to be stress free. Tension in your muscles and other structures can put pressure on your nerves which can then disturb your body’s communication system and reduce the efficiency of your natural self-healing abilities. Once you start to store stress or tension you become less able to adapt to new stresses and gradually move further away from your full health potential.
This stored tension may be the cause of a variety of symptoms including backache, neck pain, sciatic pain, joint pain, restricted movement, cramps, headaches or migraines, genital pain, constipation or anxiety amongst many other symptoms.
While you are lying down, fully clothed, Tracy will test your body for stored tension using a unique form of reflex testing. Then, by applying a gentle but very precise stimulation to the affected areas, your body is encouraged to release the stored tension, helping to restore its ability to heal and maintain itself. Body Stress Release is for everyone, from infants to the elderly and is also safe during pregnancy.
